About Anchors

What is this?

Anchors are permanent notes for things you should always remember — allergies, preferences, advice, warnings. Unlike a to-do list, which tracks future actions, anchors hold information that does not expire. They act as an extension of your memory, ensuring that important details are always at your fingertips when you need them.

How it works

Each anchor has a title, an optional description, and a category (Allergy, Preference, Advice, Warning, or General). You can search anchors by keyword to find what you need quickly. Anchors are stored locally and persist until you delete them.

Good to know: Anchors are most useful for information you need to recall in the moment — a friend's allergy when choosing a restaurant, a colleague's preferred name, or a piece of advice from a mentor. Keep them specific and actionable.

Frequently asked questions

How are anchors different from to-dos?

To-dos are future actions with a deadline. Anchors are permanent reference notes with no expiry — they are things you need to remember indefinitely, not tasks to complete.

How many anchors should I keep?

Only keep anchors that are genuinely useful and current. Prune outdated information periodically so that what remains is reliable and easy to search.

Can I share my anchors with someone else?

Anchors are stored locally on your device and are not shared automatically. If you need to share important information (such as an allergy), consider also informing the relevant people directly.
